Coffee ExperienceArtisanal

In Pereira at 1,830 meters above sea level, Ederson, the fifth generation of coffee growers in his family and leader of the area, is the one who receives and guides the experience.

 

The tour has 4 moments:

  1. Geographic location and history of coffee growing in the world and its arrival in Colombia. Explanation of the attributes of the Coffee Culture Landscape that accredit it as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. 

  2. Coffee process, seed, planting, coffee varieties, harvesting and processing (washing, drying, selection, explanation of the roasting process). Explanation about special and origin coffee.

  3. Coffee tasting and tasting, two varieties of coffee are prepared through 3 filtering methods. It talks about the types of grinding and its importance for each filtering method. The coffees are accompanied by traditional homemade cakes from local cuisine.

  4. It ends with the interpretation of Colombian bambucos.
